My favs of 2019

View from the top of Geokaun Mountain, looking out to Bengish Island (Cromwell Point Lighthouse below). Co.Kerry, Ireland. I cooked dinner and camped (car camped, post on that soon!) here. Unfortunately the clouds closed in once it got dark and heavy rain followed!Bengish Island from Geokaun Mountain

O'Brien's Tower, Cliff of Moher, Co.Clare. I was doing a housesit about 40mins away so was great to be able to get over for some post sunset shots on a lovely calm and cloudless evening.O'Briens Tower, Cliffs of Moher, Co.Clare, Ireland

Another car campint trip, this time to Waterford. Some lovely skies just after sunset. Waterford

I was going to spend the night here, but the tide was getting close so I retreated to the car! Ballydowane Beach

I love the Skellig Islands! Lukes Gaf

A couple of great shoots last year with Leah for Cotton Threadz clothing. This was in Ebony Rose Interiors, lost of great wallpapers and couches for shots. Leah

Bull Island is my favourite spot in Dublin, and I think this was finally the day that our Summer started! Pigeon House Chimneys

O'Brien's Tower again, with what star constellations I couldn't tell you! O'Briens Tower, Cliffs of Moher

Photos of my 2016

More photos than 2015 but still not enough taken. Aiming for far more in 2017! Thanks for all the views, likes, comments and orders through out the year - its always nice to know that theres a few of my photos hanging in your homes.

JANUARY | SNOW AND NO TO IRISH WATER

The year started with a light sprinkling of snow....up the Wicklow Mountains.... that latest a couple of hours!

Irish Water Protest

The end of January saw another Irish Water Protest. At this stage I've no idea how Irish Water is - I think people paying for it is put on hold, but those who have paid already aren't getting refunds, but meters are still going in and the CEO is on his way out...or something like that!

FEBRUARY | TWO FINGERS TO FASCISTS

The far right group Pegida attempted to set up an Irish wing of their knuckle dragging organisation, but so few them turned up all I came across were the Gards and the great protesters.

MARCH ~ JULY | PHONE SHOTS ONLY!

Not much over the next few months, phone shots only.

Never got to do Bingo with Des!

AUGUST | HARDCORE, OI, MISS IRELAND & TATTOOS

The Dublin Tattoo Convention

A couple hundred tattoo artists, Dublin Body Painting Jam, and Death Do Us Part Danger Show made a great (and 14th) International Dublin Tattoo Convention

DEATH DO US PART

Miss Ireland

The end of August was off to Sligo for the toughest one for the year! to take photos of Miss Ireland in Sligo Adventure Park which is opening some time in 2017. Miss Tipperary (on the left) Niamh Kennedy went on to represent Ireland in Washington DC.

Sick Of It All

Its usually about 10 years between Sick Of It All visits, but this time round it was only a years wait, with the NYHC legends returning to the Voodoo Lounge.

The Old Firm Casuals

Two days later it was back to the Voodoo for The Old Firm Casuals and extra special show with it being the anniversary of the passing of Colin 'Runnin Riot' McQuillan.

SEPTEMBER ~ DECEMBER | DOGS, FREEMASONS AND BARBERS

The last 1/3 of the year was spent dog/house sitting, basically living out of a suitcase for the guts of four months. It took a while to get used to turning up at a strangers house, getting the keys from under a rock and getting to look after their beloved animals for a few days - weeks. Over this time I looked after a fish, 2 canaries, 2 peacocks, 2 rabbits, 9 dogs, 8 geese and 15 hens!

Taking photos of these animals was near on impossible but some sits allowed for some nearby opportunities when out walking the animals, instead of being stuck in front of this monitor!

Don't feed the deer

Or you're going to have a bad day!

Industry

Industry is a great new place in Blanchardstown, combing Neo Traditional Barbershop, Traditional Tattoo Shop and Physical Therapy. I got my first haircut since 1993 here and a tattoo on the visit for some photos!

Goole Year In Search 2016

In September I was approached by a digital agency to contribute an image to the Google Year In Search 2016 video. I assumed that they had contacted hundreds of people for imagery and never thought anything of it thinking I'd be discarded as they whittled down the content so imagine my surprise when the video hit 37 seconds!
