Property Tax Protest March 31/03/12

Today was the deadline for the "property tax" - a €100 fee for the privilege of owning a home. This is only an interim fee and will rise from next year. As of today people who have paid are only around the 30% mark.

Today was also Irelands ruling party - Fine Gael - Ard Fheis (annually get together!) in Dublin city center. So what better opportunity for 10,000 people from across the country and all walks of life and ages to converge on where they are having their little party...

Even Batman turned out!
